Save- A-Turtle Sends Kids to Camp

Send A Keys Kid to Camp!
Please consider helping Save-A-Turtle (SAT) send Keys Kids to summer Camp! SAT, along with the Jensen Foundation, has partnered with 2 camps in the Florida Keys that focus on marine life education; Marine Lab of Key Largo and Sea Camp in Big Pine Key. Camp Scholarship recipients, all local students, are nominated to attend by their teachers and school staff. Our Matching Donation Fundraiser for 2022 afforded us the opportunity to send 19 Keys Kids to these camps that summer! We were so excited at the success of this program, we decided to continue raising funds for "Send a Keys Kid to Camp" every summer since.

HATCH and RELEASE of RESCUED HATCHLINGS  

​Our volunteers recently rescued two hatchlings that were trapped in a nest. The extraordinary thing about this rescue is that a vacationer witnessed the hatch the night before and shared his video with Save-A-Turtle! Enjoy this video from nesting to emergence, excavation and release of rescues.
