Thank you for your generous donation! Our name says a lot towards our goals. It has been a difficult era for sea turtles since the modernization and population explosion of humans in the last two centuries. Both the change in habitat and the egg and meat harvesting have caused an alarming threatened and endangered status for our sea turtle friends.
Our goals at Save-A-Turtle are to help educate locally, nationally and worldwide to make a change for the better. We promote the training for nesting observation, nest protection, rescue and sea turtle strandings. Save-A-Turtle also promotes research that may help the future of sea turtles. We appreciate your willingness to help us with our mission.
If you are ever visiting the Keys, we would love to see you at our monthly meeting, generally held the first Monday of the month at The Turtle Hospital in Marathon.
